The Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP), leading Chamber of commerce in France, has 4 main missions:
- Accompanying firms at each stage of their development
- Representing companies’ interests to public authorities
- Developing trade fairs at the service of companies and Paris region attractiveness
- Educating personnel and future CEOs needed by companies.
The CCIP is one of the main French actors in the field of education, research and training, employing over 2,300 men and women in education and training, including 900 professors and teachers. 14,500 undergraduate and graduate students are educated yearly at the CCIP, including 4,300 apprentices. 87% of the CCIP’s students are hired within 6 months after graduation.
The CCIP founded 11 educational institutions which constitute the breeding ground for high-level foreign and French students, educated for international careers and a wide range of positions. These institutions enable the CCIP to guide firms in the management of their human resources:
- Graduate Business Schools: HEC Paris, ESCP Europe, Advancia, Negocia, ESIEE Management
- Graduate Engineering Schools: ESIEE Engineering
- Schools of Technology : CFI (Centre des formations industrielles), École Grégoire-Ferrandi, ESIV (Ecole supérieure de l’industrie du vêtement), Gobelins, Tecomah
These schools deliver over 150 training programmes available in initial education and training as well as in continuing education and degrees ranging from secondary to higher education.
Thanks to its close ties with companies, the CCIP constantly adapts its training programmes to meet the needs of companies and to anticipate their expectations.
Traditional close ties with industries and freely negotiated contracts with private and public companies enable cooperation in two main fields:
1. Student training
- Definition of the needs and necessary skills, curricula design
- Organisation of internships.
2. Innovation and development of new products and processes
- Research contracts and technology transfer
- Participating in and piloting of start-up companies, “incubators”.
Moreover, companies are integrated in the governance structure of all our educational institutions.
